Dates: June 2-5, 2024

This summer, we are partnering with a local ministry to do a short-term mission trip right here in our own backyard! We will be partnering with CityLife and MissionLab 615, an apartment ministry in the Greater Nashville area, to reach our neighbors for Christ.

MissionLab 615 will lead our trip and provide all of the training, resources, meals, and ministry opportunities. They will help our students “taste and see” what God is doing in Greater Nashville. Ministry opportunities are not yet finalized but may include VBS/Day Camp-type events, service projects, prayer walking, and more. Students will be pushed out of their comfort zone as they immerse themselves in a different environment, learn intercessory prayer, serve holistically, and share God’s love with others.

Housing and Transportation:

To make it a little bit more of an immersive experience, students will stay in host homes during Mission Week. We believe this will help us to be together, remove distractions, get the most out of each day, and have space to debrief and process the experience. Adult Leaders will stay in the host homes with students throughout Mission Week.

All Mission Week team members will be transported from host homes to ministry sites in buses or adult leader vehicles. No student is permitted to drive themselves or others during Mission Week.

Financial Costs of Mission Week:

The cost of Mission Week is $150 per student. This cost covers all transportation, meals, training materials, ministry expenses on the mission field, a t-shirt, and more. All payments must be made by cash or check - to First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet. Please contact us if you have any questions about the financial aspect of this mission opportunity.

Registration Process:

Mission Week is an open opportunity for current middle and high schoolers. This is not a camp, a VBS for students, or a babysitter - this is a mission trip! So, if you have a heart to share the good news of Jesus and serve others in love, we would love to give you the opportunity to serve. Everyone must complete a registration form and have a current waiver on file. There are limited spots due to housing and transportation, so sign up as soon as possible - the deadline is May 19th!
