Ministry Team

Pat Ragan

Missions Pastor

Pat joined the Ministry Team at First Mount Juliet in December of 2023. He came to know the Lord as a freshman at Belmont College, worked at Opryland, attended MTSU, and met his wife, Traci, in Nashville. Pat graduated from Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee with a Bible degree and their three daughters all grew up at Woodland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga.

Pat’s calling into full-time Missions ministry began after he and Traci participated in their church’s first short-term missions trip nearly 30 years ago. Since that time, the Lord has given them the opportunity to lead short-term mission teams and partner with missionaries and church leaders all over the world. They spent two years on the field as full-time missionaries in Guatemala and have also helped mobilize and care for longer-term missionaries serving as interns and as career missionaries. Pat and Traci are always encouraging others to take their next step of faith.

Pat’s previous ministry assignment at First Baptist Atlanta gave him the opportunity to oversee all of First Baptist Atlanta’s Global Missions ministry which included the short-term team ministry and 73 full-time missionaries supported by the church.

Pat and his wife, Traci, have been married for 37 years. They have three lovely daughters: Lara (married to Tyler), Jessica (married to Daniel), and Hannah (married to Reid), and four grandchildren:  Judah, Asher, Simeon, and Lily.
