Creating spaces where the next generation can encounter Jesus in safe, welcoming environments. Every improvement is about helping people Love God, Love People, and Go.

About Project 125
Project 125 is a church-wide initiative to prepare First Mt. Juliet for the future to reach our community for Christ. As we celebrate 125 years of ministry, we’re asking the Lord to use us to impact the next generation through expanded ministry opportunities, improved facilities, and a renewed commitment to making disciples.
This is more than a building project—it’s about creating space for families to hear the gospel, grow in their faith, and be sent to make disciples.
Our Vision
Creating Space for the Next Generation

PROJECT 125 FAQS
Common
Questions
Why are we proposing this project? Why Now?
Safety and security are paramount for families. We presently do not have an
accessible, safe, and dedicated children’s space for children’s worship. Nashville is a booming city with families moving here from all over the country. As our church and community continue to grow, we want to be prepared to minister effectively for years to come.
Rather than simply reacting to growth, Project 125 allows us to move forward with prayerful planning and faithful stewardship.
Will the church be taking on debt for this project?
No. We plan to move forward without borrowing money. Construction will begin
only as God provides through faithful giving and designated gifts. Also, the
Stewardship Team has a plan for us to continue servicing our present debt in a
manageable and effective way.
Why build now, and why are we doing both the Practice Facility and Children's Facility at the same time?
God continues to bring new families to our community and church. The Practice
Facility replaces a ministry resource lost in the 2020 tornado, while the Children’s
Facility helps us meet the needs of our growing church and community. Rather
than choosing one ministry opportunity over another, we are trusting God to
provide the resources for both.
How can I learn more about and support the MJCA Practice Facility?
In addition to supporting Mt. Juliet Christian Academy athletics, the Practice Facility will provide a versatile, multipurpose space for students, events, and more. Learn more about this exciting project and discover how you can support Raising Saints Campaign Here.
How will the new Children's Building better serve our church and community?
This project creates environments where children and families can connect with Jesus and one another. By doubling the size of our current children’s ministry space, we’ll provide dynamic worship experiences, flexible classrooms for one-on-one and small-group learning, and better support children with additional educational needs. These improvements will help us reach more families, serve children throughout the week, and create more opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
How will the new building be used throughout the week?
The new Children’s Building is designed to serve ministry seven days a week. On
Sundays, it provides worship and classroom space for Children’s Ministry. During the week, it supports Mt. Juliet Christian Academy with additional classrooms, centralized check-in, and flexible learning spaces for intervention, breakout groups, and future growth.
Why can't we renovate the existing Children's Ministry area?
Our current Children’s Ministry area is located as far from the Worship Center as possible and does not provide a direct, connected way for our ministries to function together. The new location keeps children much closer to where parents are worshiping, providing greater convenience and peace of mind for families.
Why relocate the café and create an outdoor gathering space?
The additional children’s space creates a natural opportunity to revamp our café and plaza area for ministry events. They will create welcoming environments
where relationships can grow, and guests feel at home.
How will parking be impacted?
Some existing parking spaces will be removed, but the completed project will
provide more parking than we have today through planned expansion west of the
current lot.
Will giving to missions or ministry be reduced?
No. We remain committed to investing in local and global missions while continuing to support the ministries that help us Love God, Love People, and Go.
When will construction begin?
Construction will begin once the necessary funds are provided. Our prayer is to
break ground in Fall 2026, with completion approximately one year later.
Will the building only be used on Sundays?
No. The building will serve Children’s Ministry, MJCA, church ministries, and
community events throughout the week. Like the rest of our campus, it is
designed to be used for ministry seven days a week for the Kingdom.
Pray
How can I participate? Every member of our church family can be part of Project 125. Voting will take place on Sunday, August 9. A love offering will be given on Sunday, September 27. On August 9, we will vote on: Affirming the Project, Affirming the Project Team, and Affirming the usage of surplus funds.
