At First Mt. Juliet, serving is not what we want from you, it’s what we want for you. God invites us to share in ministry with Him. What an honor! What a blessing it is to our lives when we use what He has given us to faithfully serve Him by serving our church and our community.

Before we ask you to commit to serving somewhere, we want to help you discover how best to use the time, talents, and gifts God has given you. When you discover how you are uniquely created, you'll find that there are a number of ways you can use your gifts both inside and outside the walls of our church.

Items to Note

1. When you take the Discovery Tool, you are taking a survey, not making a commitment!

2. The survey will suggest the top 10 opportunities that you match with, but this is not an exhaustive list. We hope a few of your results are particularly exciting to you.

3. After taking the survey, click the "Learn More" button on your results page or confirmation email. Each volunteer opportunity lists details about the area of ministry, the specific opportunity, a suggestion of the time commitment, and a contact email.

Next Steps to Serve@First

There are few ways you can move forward with your Discovery Tool results.

1. Pray. Consider what the next season of serving and ministry might look like for you. Give yourself permission to try something new - you never know how the Lord might want to use you!

2. Take initiative. Contact us about any of your top 10 matches you're especially excited about or interested in exploring further. We’ll get you connected with the ministry area to learn more and take next steps.

3. Browse and learn. There are over 70 ways to serve at First Mt. Juliet! We encourage you to browse the full list of Serve at First opportunities: ServeFirstList.pdf.

4. We will be in touch. During the next month, our Ministry Team staff and leaders will work with you to connect you with the ministry areas you are interested in. We may ask you to consider volunteering in a new way! (Our staff is already intentionally praying over and implementing the next steps for our volunteers.)
