A Life That Matters For God
Ecclesiastes repeatedly states 'meaningless, meaningless, all is meaningless,' yet within this framework, it provides profound guidance on living a life that matters eternally. As we age, time seems to accelerate—creeping in childhood, strolling in youth, running in adulthood, and flying in our later years. Rather than merely acknowledging this phenomenon, we can choose to invest our time for eternal purposes. In our youth, we should enjoy life fully while remembering there are consequences to our choices. Statistics show that over 80% of people who come to know Christ do so by age 13, highlighting the importance of establishing a foundation of faith early. As we age, our bodies naturally decline—with weakening limbs, deteriorating senses, and diminishing strength—but our spiritual lives can continue to flourish. Seniors possess wisdom and experience that younger generations desperately need.To live a life that matters eternally, we must value God's Word, which provides security, clarity, and conviction, and we must walk with God daily, applying His teachings to our lives. In a seemingly meaningless world, living for God is never wasted, as our labor in the Lord is not in vain. A life fully surrendered to God finds eternal significance in every season.
