2 Timothy 1:3-5

KEY THOUGHT: Paul thanks God for the partnership in the gospel that he had with Timothy.

Paul expresses   for Timothy’s friendship in verses (3-4). He   Timothy in   (v. 3) and longed to   Timothy again (v. 4).

Three Marks of Dynamic Faith:

A. A Faith that is   out-(5a)-“I am reminded of your sincere faith…”

B. A Faith that is   on-(5b)-“which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice….”

C. A Faith that is   within-(5c)-“I am persuaded, now lives in you also.”

Takeaways for Parents:

The Apostle Paul takes Timothy back to what he learned from his mother and grandmother in (3:14-15).

(1) Live out faith- “because you know those form who you have learned…”
(2) Start as soon as they are  - “and how from infancy you have known…”
(3) Trust the   of God’s Word- “which are able to make you wise for salvation…”
