Church Matters

Paul's final letters were personal and practical instructions regarding how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God (1 Tim. 3:15). God’s household is the church, and clearly the church matters. All of us could use a reminder of what the local church is supposed to look and act like.

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. It is an outward expression of an inward faith.
