Haley Johnson
Children's Ministry Director
Haley and her husband, Jacob, have been married for 14 years and have two children, Emmitt (13) and Emmylou (10). Their family also includes a lively collection of pets, reflecting their love of adventure and creativity. A Jacksonville, Florida native, Haley graduated from Lee University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Theology. She spent her college years traveling the world with her father, guitarist Doyle Dykes, sharing the Gospel through music—where she also met Jacob, her husband and ministry partner.
Together, Haley and Jacob have served in worship and children’s ministry, including church planting in Abilene, Texas, where Haley first discovered her passion for leading kids to Christ. Since then, she has felt God’s clear call to serve in children’s ministry full-time. Haley believes children are not only the future of the church but also an active part of the church today. She is eager to partner with families at First Baptist Mt. Juliet to help kids grow in their faith and walk closely with Jesus.
