Missions Purpose

At First Mt. Juliet, we believe that every believer has a vital role in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20) through praying, giving, growing, and going. Our mission is to glorify God by making disciples of all nations, following His command in Acts 1:8 to be witnesses for Christ in:

- Jerusalem – Locally, in Mt. Juliet and Wilson County
- Judea – Regionally, across Tennessee and surrounding areas
- Samaria – Nationally, throughout the United States
- To the ends of the earth – Globally, reaching the nations

As Acts 1:8 reminds us: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” We are committed to living this out in every part of our lives.

Real Stories

Lives Changed Through Missions

Missions are more than trips—they’re life-changing experiences that impact both those who go and those they serve. Real Stories shares testimonies from people in our church who have stepped out in faith to show Christ’s love locally and around the world.

Through these videos, you’ll see how God is moving through missions and transforming lives. Whether you need encouragement, want to understand the heart of missions, or are exploring how to get involved, these stories will inspire your next step.

Watch and be encouraged—God is moving, and you can be part of it.

Give

The 2025-2026 Missions Offering will support our ongoing commitment to missions, including the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for IMB missionaries and the Missions First Offering for future outreach and ministry partnerships.

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering – 2025 Goal: $65,000
Lottie Moon served as a missionary to China from 1873 to 1912, where she witnessed the great need for the gospel. Her efforts to rally support for missions led to the creation of the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, which continues to fund international missionary work.

Missions First Offering – 2025-2026 Goal: $35,000
This offering will support:

  • Short-Term Missions Scholarships: Helping individuals with a heart to serve but in need of financial support.
  • Missions Education & Resources: Equipping our church for mission work.
  • Missions Partnerships: Supporting local and international ministry partnerships.
  • Unreached People Groups: Providing resources for church planters and students.
  • Church Planting Initiatives: Supporting new church plants, especially in North America.

In addition, our church supports special ministry opportunities throughout the year.

These offerings help us spread the gospel both locally and globally.
