Facilities Manager | Full-Time
Purpose
The church facilities manager will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the church's buildings and grounds with the purpose of ensuring worship, study, and other church activities and ministries can be observed properly.
Responsibilities
- The church facilities manager will be responsible for building and facility maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, etc. Also, some involvement may be needed in audio, video, communications systems, lighting, etc.
- Responsible to ensure proper venue preparation (climate control, access, furniture set up, and accessories provided) for all campus happenings for church services and school.
- Available in emergency situations to respond to facility issues during off hours (e.g. fire alarm, power outage, security alarm, etc).
- Primary point of contact for all outside vendors who service the property and facility.
- Coordinate staff schedules and manage staff.
- Attend all necessary meetings, including staff and teams, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- This person must love God and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Because this is a professional management position, a college degree or extensive experience is required.
- Ability to teach and coach others in areas of cleaning and facility maintenance.
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and maintain composure under pressure.
- Self-starter needing minimal supervision.
- Coordinate tasks and manage the needs of the church and academy.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Manage the use of the facilities requested through multiple areas using Planning Center.
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and other factors.
- Candidates should have strong communication and relationship skills to interact with vendors, contractors, and subordinate employees, as well as churchgoers and anyone making a facilities-related request.
- Need to have skills in building maintenance, repair, and knowledge of the various systems that affect a building's day-to-day operations.
- Hard worker who is results-driven.
- Ability to prioritize needs and respond appropriately, sensitively and proactively.
- Skills to lead in major project management.
- Ability to coordinate and support maintenance staff.
Classification: Full-time, exempt position.
Accountability
This position is supervised by the Administrative Pastor and is under the overall supervision of the Senior Pastor.
