Andy Hale

Pastor Andy provides leadership to our total church ministry as he proclaims the gospel of Jesus, teaches the Bible, leads in developing and casting the vision for FBCMJ, and provides spiritual direction to our entire church staff and congregation.

Andy was raised in a Christian home and was exposed to the gospel early and often in his life.  He trusted Jesus as his Savior at the age of six and answered the call to full-time Christian ministry after his freshman year of college.   He and his wife, Christy, began dating that same summer and were married in May 2003.  They have one daughter, Sydney, born February 13, 2013.

Andy grew up in Kentucky and is an avid UK basketball fan.  He received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY, and his Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. 

Andy was called as senior pastor at First Baptist in November 2009.  He served on staff at churches in Kentucky and Florida before coming to FBCMJ.  Andy has a passion for biblical, Christ-centered preaching and teaching as the foundation for the church.  He desires to preach and teach the Bible in such a way that people are transformed by the Spirit of God, and he is humbled and excited that God has called him to do that at FBCMJ.
